BPD in The Community: Officers assigned to the Bureau of Community Engagement and the District A-1 (Downtown) Community Service Office brought together both “Walk the Beat” groups from the North End and Charlestown to greet the official tree for Boston in its arrival from Nova Scotia onto the Boston Common. The groups met Santa, sang songs, and got to sip some delicious hot cocoa. The groups were able to share their holiday cheer with the students of the Mather School as well.
