BPD Community Alert: Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance in Efforts to Identify Individual in Relation to an Aggravated Assault and Battery Investigation in Jamaica Plain

The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in efforts to identify the individual shown in the accompanying images as it relates to an ongoing aggravated assault and battery investigation in Jamaica Plain.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the initial incident are as follows:

At approximately 9:54 AM on Friday, September 25, 2026, officers assigned to District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a radio call for an assault and battery in progress in the area of 105 South Huntington Avenue in Jamaica Plain.

Upon arrival, officers observed the victim lying on the ground being treated by EMS. Officers observed the victim to be suffering from apparent facial injuries. Officers spoke to a witness at the scene who stated an unknown black male suspect walked up to the victim and sucker punched him before walking away.
