BPD Community Alert: Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance in Efforts to Identify Individual in Relation to a Stabbing in Jamaica Plain

The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in efforts to identify the individual shown in the accompanying image as it relates to an ongoing aggravated assault investigation in Jamaica Plain.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the initial incident are as follows:

At approximately 6:56 AM on Sunday, September 13, 2026, officers assigned to District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to a radio call for a person stabbed in the area of 8 Burnett Street in Jamaica Plain.

Upon arrival, officers observed the victim being transported to a local hospital for a non-life-threatening stab wound. Officers spoke to witnesses on scene who stated they heard the victim calling for help because he had been stabbed. Officers canvassed the area for the suspect to no avail.
