Drug Control Unit Arrests Two Suspects Following Search Warrants in Hyde Park

On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, officers assigned to the Drug Control Unit of District E-5 (Roslindale/ West Roxbury), DEA Task Force, and members of the Youth Violence Strike Force, conducted a joint narcotics investigation.

Officers applied for and were granted three search warrants, for the target of the investigation, 40 Georgetowne Drive, and 226 Georgetowne Drive in Hyde Park.

The suspect was seen exiting 40 Georgetowne Drive and was stopped at 192 Georgetowne Drive. Officers placed the suspect into handcuffs and executed their search warrant. Police recovered 20.7 grams of crack cocaine, and approximately $1,123 in U.S. currency.

Simultaneously, officers knocked and announced their presence for both search warrants. Officers located and recovered from 226 Georgetowne Drive, a large plastic bag of white powder substance, digital scales, and drug packaging material.

The following evidence was recovered from 40 Georgetowne Drive: 11.75 ounces of marijuana, a plastic bag of crack cocaine, two plastic bags of fentanyl, digital scales, drug packaging material, two rifle rounds, two shot gun shells, an extended magazine capable of holding thirty-one total rounds, and $160 in U.S. currency.

Both suspects were placed under arrest and expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court for the following charges:

Joshua Lewis, 26, of Hyde Park:

–          Trafficking class B

–          Possession with intent to distribute class B

Brian Lender, 41, of Hyde Park:

–          Unlawful possession of ammunition

–          Unlawful possession of a high capacity magazine

–          Two counts of possession of class A

–          Possession with intent to distribute class D

–          Possession of class B
