On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) and the Auto Theft Unit conducted an enforcement initiative aimed at addressing quality-of-life issues, building trust with the community, and increasing police visibility throughout the Roxbury and Dorchester neighborhoods of Boston.
This initiative focuses on enforcing motor vehicle laws and city ordinances related to the safe and legal operation of scooters, mopeds, and motorcycles, while curbing unsafe, illegal, and disruptive behavior.
Throughout the operation, officers towed 20 mopeds/scooters and issued multiple motor vehicle citations, as well as one (1) criminal summons.
The Boston Police Department remains committed to improving traffic safety and will continue to conduct enforcement operations across the city.
