Neighborhood Engagement Safety Team Arrested Drug Trafficking Suspect

On Thursday, August 20, 2026, officers assigned to the citywide Neighborhood Engagement Safety Team (NEST) arrested Steven Poillucci, 32, of Roxbury, on drug trafficking charges.

About 4:45 PM, officers were advised that a 9-1-1 call was received for the area of 112 Southampton Street for a report of a male individual believed to have a large amount of drugs and refusing to be searched. Further information was gathered that the man inside was attempting to sell drugs.

Upon arrival, police located a male matching the description in the area of Island and Gerard Street. As officers approached the suspect, they could see a large quantity of money inside the front pocket of the suspect’s hoodie.

Officers recovered a plastic bag of fentanyl and a plastic bag of crack cocaine from the suspect’s shorts. A plastic bag of K2 was also located inside the suspect’s bag. The seized money was determined to be $1,386 in U.S. currency, and the drugs were weighed at 28 grams of crack cocaine and 24 grams of fentanyl. A black digital scale was also seized from the suspect.

Poillucci was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court for the following charges:

  • Trafficking of cocaine in 18 grams or more, less than 36 grams
  • Trafficking of fentanyl in 18 grams or more, less than 26 grams
  • Possession with intent to distribute class C
