At about 9:36 AM today, officers and detectives from District C-6 (South Boston) arrested a 14-year-old male on multiple violent crime warrants stemming from the armed robbery of a children’s lemonade stand last month.
The juvenile, accompanied by his mother, voluntarily turned himself in to police custody. Due to the suspect’s age, his identity is being withheld.
The juvenile has been placed under arrest and faces the following charges:
- Delinquency to wit: Armed Robbery (Two Counts)
- Delinquency to wit: Carrying a Firearm Without a License
The second suspect involved in this incident was previously arrested on June 12, 2026.
Incident Background
The charges originate from an incident on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. At about 4:44 PM, District C-6 officers responded to a radio call for an armed robbery in the area of West Ninth Street in South Boston.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victims—two children who had been operating a neighborhood lemonade stand. The victims reported that unknown suspects made several passes by the stand before approaching them to ask if they accepted Apple Pay.
Before the children could respond, the suspects grabbed a box containing U.S. currency. One of the suspects then intentionally displayed a black firearm in his waistband before both individuals fled the area on foot.
