Traffic Advisory: Sail Boston Crew and Cadet Parade July 13, 2026

Location: South Boston (Seaport District) to Downtown / North End Date: Monday, July 13, 2026 Time: 12:00 PM

The Boston Police Department is issuing a traffic advisory due to the Sail Boston 2026 Crew and Cadet Parade. More than 1,000 maritime crew members and cadets from international tall ships will march through the city.

Significant traffic delays, rolling road closures, are expected along the waterfront and downtown areas. Drivers are strongly urged to avoid the parade route or utilize public transportation.

Parade Route & Rolling Closures

The parade will step off at 12:00 PM

Step-off: Leader Bank Pavilion (290 Northern Ave, South Boston) heading west.

  • Seaport Movement: Straight onto Seaport Boulevard, passing Commonwealth Pier.
  • Bridge Crossing: Crossing over the Evelyn Moakley Bridge.
  • Downtown / North End: Right turn onto Atlantic Avenue, heading north.
  • Dispersal: Ending at Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park (110 Atlantic Ave).

Major streets feeding into Seaport Blvd and Atlantic Ave (including Congress St, Summer St, and Northern Ave) will face heavy congestion.
