Today, the Boston Police Department announced the arrest of a Roxbury man facing multiple charges related to the indecent assault of a minor.
At approximately 12:25 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026, officers assigned to the Boston Police Fugitive Unit arrested Fausto Abreu, 60, of Roxbury. Officers located Abreu in the area of 100 Warren Street in Roxbury, where he was taken into custody without incident.
At the time of his arrest, officers were aware that Abreu had active warrants for three counts of Indecent Assault and Battery on a Child Under 14.
According to investigators, the suspect was hired through a social media post to drive a child to and from school. This arrangement had been ongoing since September of 2025. It was determined that during this time period, the suspect indecently assaulted the victim.
