At about 1:30 AM on Thursday, May 21, 2026, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) made an onsite arrest of Ivan Robles, 19-years-old, of Taunton and recovered a loaded firearm in the area of 149 Dudley Street in Roxbury.
While on patrol in the area of the aforementioned location, officers observed a group of individuals congregating outside of the library. Prior to exiting their vehicle, officers observed one of the individuals quickly shift his body away from officers while another individual stood in front of him in an effort to block officers’ view. As officers approached the group, the two males immediately stood up and walked towards officers. Between the two males, officers observed a firearm lying on the structure where the two males were sitting. Both males were detained as additional officers arrived on scene. One of the males was taken into custody while the rest of the group were identified and released from the scene.
The firearm was determined to be a Polymer 90 9mm handgun loaded with four rounds of live ammunition.
Officers arrested Ivan Robles, 19-years-old, of Taunton who is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
