Neighborhood Engagement Safety Team Arrests Suspect for Trafficking Cocaine in Roxbury

Keeping Boston Safe: At about 6:00 PM on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, members of the Neighborhood Engagement Safety Team (NEST) conducted a drug investigation that led to the arrest of Kareem Lamont Woods, 33-years-old, of Hyde Park and the recovery of drugs and cash in the area of 2359 Washington Street in Roxbury.

As part of ongoing efforts to identify, locate, and suppress numerous quality of life issues in the area of the aforementioned location, officers observed an apparent drug transaction take place between the suspect and another individual. The individual was issued a summons to appear in Roxbury District Court on the charge of Possession of Class B Drugs.

Officers approached the suspect in the area of the Nubian Square Bus Station where he was taken into custody.

During the booking process, officers recovered sixty-seven small plastic bags containing approximately thirty-four grams of a substance believed to be crack cocaine and an undisclosed amount of US Currency.

Kareem Woods is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of Trafficking Cocaine and Distribution of Class B Drugs Subsequent Offense.
