Neighborhood Engagement Safety Team Arrests Suspect for Distribution of Crack in Roxbury

Keeping Boston Safe: At about 5:30 PM on Monday, May 18, 2026, members of the Neighborhood Engagement Safety Team (NEST) conducted a drug investigation that led to the arrest of Alicia Mitchell, 45-years-old, of Roxbury and the recovery of drugs and cash in the area of 2371 Washington Street in Roxbury.

As part of ongoing efforts to identify, locate, and suppress numerous quality of life issues in the area of the aforementioned location, officers observed an apparent drug transaction take place between the suspect and another individual. The individual was issued a summons to appear in Roxbury District Court on the charge of Possession of Class B Drugs.

Officers approached the suspect in the area of the Nubian Square Bus Station where she was taken into custody.

During the booking process, officers recovered twenty-five small plastic bags containing a substance believed to be crack cocaine and an undisclosed amount of US Currency.

Alicia Mitchell is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drugs Subsequent Offense, and Distribution of Class B Drugs.
