The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in efforts to identify the individual shown in the accompanying images as it relates to an ongoing unarmed robbery investigation in Mattapan.
The facts and circumstances of the initial incident are as follows:
At about 12:22 PM on Friday, May 1, 2026, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a radio call for an unarmed robbery in the area of 69 River Street (Budget Liquors) in Mattapan.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated an unknown individual wearing a black sweatshirt and black shorts entered the store and took a bottle of wine from the shelf, concealing it in his pocket before exiting the store. As the individual attempted to leave the store, a struggle ensued in which the victim was struck in the head. The suspect then fled on foot down River Street towards Mattapan Square. Officers canvassed the area to no avail.
