BPD in the Community: Boston Police Department Takes Youth from Across the City for Field Trips During April School Vacation Week

Our officers have been out in neighborhoods across Boston celebrating April School Vacation Week with students throughout the city thanks to the Boston Police Foundation’s COP fund (Community Opportunities Program)!

District C-11 in Dorchester partnered with the Bureau of Community Engagement and BPD Comfort Dog Copper to visit youth at St. Mark’s Church. The visit included meeting K-9 Copper, learning about community safety, and watching her show off her training.

District D-4 spent the day with youth from the South End on a trip to Boston Bowl, where everyone enjoyed bowling, arcade games, and lunch.

District D-14 in Allston/Brighton took youth from their “Road to the Right Track Running Program” to the Suffolk Superior Courthouse. The group heard from Judge Cathi Campbell, toured the courthouse, and had the opportunity to ask questions.

It’s been a great vacation week filled with fun and connection with youth across our communities!
