A Snowy Parking Dispute Turns Violent in Dorchester

On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan/Dorchester) arrested 47-year-old Enel Janvier of Dorchester following a stabbing incident that stemmed from a dispute over a parking space after the recent winter storm.

At approximately 1:25 AM, officers responded to a radio call for a person stabbed in the area of 59 Evans Street in Dorchester. Upon arrival, officers observed three individuals standing on the sidewalk outside the address. A 41-year-old male and a 47-year-old female were both suffering from significant bleeding to their hands. Blood was also observed on the sidewalk, walkway, and nearby snowbanks.

Officers detained the third individual, later identified as Enel Janvier, while rendering immediate aid to the injured parties. Boston EMS responded to the scene and transported both victims to local hospitals for treatment.

Due to a language barrier, officers requested the assistance of a translating officer. Through further investigation by responding officers and District B-3 detectives, it was determined that the incident originated from a dispute over a shoveled parking space. Investigators learned that the male victim arrived at the location and observed Janvier’s vehicle parked in a space he believed he had personally cleared of snow. A confrontation followed, which escalated when Javier became involved.

During the altercation, Janvier allegedly stabbed the male victim in the hand with a knife. The female victim sustained an injury to her hand while attempting to intervene and disarm him.

Janvier was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on a charge of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
