About 12:20 PM, on November 28, 2025, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to the area of 760 Boylston Street (Dick’s Sporting Goods) for a shoplifting incident.
Upon arrival, officers were advised that the suspect entered the store earlier in the day and loaded a tennis bag full of merchandise. The suspect was then seen placing the bag inside the store and leaving.
A few hours later the same suspect returned to the store and attempted to steal the items. Officers were quickly contacted and were able to stop the suspect as he was exiting the store. The stolen merchandise was valued at $745.
Yeejin Choi, 20, of Boston, was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court for Larceny Under $1,200.
About 5:50 PM, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, officers were conducting a walk and talk inside the Prudential Mall. Sunglass Hut employees stopped officers and advised them that a suspect had just stolen multiple sunglasses and was walking towards the mall exit.
Officers were able to stop the suspect, and placed him into handcuffs. Seven pairs of stolen sunglasses were recovered, which were valued at approximately $2,492.
Mark Busuito, 39, of Boston, was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court for the following charges:
– Common & Notorious Thief
– Larceny Over $1,200
