The Boston Police Department received a special request for a young West Roxbury resident. Austin is a big fan of police vehicles and was heading out on his Make-A-Wish trip to Disney. Make-A-Wish asked to surprise him with a police escort to the airport, and our officers answered the call.
Members of BPD Command Staff, the Bureau of Community Engagement, our comfort dog Copper, the BPD Motorcycle Unit, and officers from several our districts escorted him and his family for a send off to remember.
The smiles said it all. It was a privilege to help make the start of his trip a little more magical!
