At approximately 10:47 AM on Sunday, November 2, 2025, Boston Police officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to a report of a person shot in the area of Marvin Street.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. They immediately rendered medical aid before Boston EMS transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
While officers were still on the scene, Boston Police Operations received a report of a second shooting victim near 256 Dudley Street. That individual was also taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Following an investigation, detectives determined that the second victim, identified as Pernell Brown, 56, of Boston, was one of the individuals involved in the shooting. Brown was subsequently placed under arrest.
He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on the following charges:
- Armed Assault with Intent to Murder
- Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
- Carrying a Firearm without an FID Card
- Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card
- Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling
- Possession of a Loaded Firearm
In addition, Brown had two outstanding warrants for Larceny under $1,200 and Threat to Commit a Crime.
