On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) carried out a targeted enforcement operation focused on scooters and mopeds. The initiative was launched in response to ongoing public safety concerns surrounding the use of these vehicles, including their links to motor vehicle violations and violent crimes.
During the operation, officers seized nine mopeds and issued multiple citations, along with seven summonses for various motor vehicle law violations.
Anyone with information related to similar illegal activity is encouraged to contact the Boston Police Department, or call 911 in case of an emergency.
