On Sunday, August 31, 2025, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Devante Stinson, 23, of Boston, on firearm related charges.
About 12:43 AM, officers responded to the area of Annunciation Road for a large party. Upon arrival, officers observed over a hundred people drinking and smoking in public, and playing loud music. The group was so large that additional units from other districts were requested to respond with clearing the area.
An officer on scene observed a male individual reach over a wall and discard a small bag. The officer walked over to the bag and observed a firearm from inside. Multiple officers quickly assisted with placing the suspect into handcuffs.
District detectives processed the firearm which was a Glock 21 with fourteen rounds in the magazine.
Stinson was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court for the following charges:
– Carry a Firearm without a License
– Carry a Loaded Firearm without a License
– Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm
– Possession of Ammunition without an FID card
