The Boston Police Department is proud to share the upcoming schedule of events for Marine Week Boston, August 20–24, 2025. This special week will honor the service and sacrifice of United States Marines while giving the public an opportunity to meet Marines, view equipment, and take part in community events throughout the city.
Highlights of Marine Week Boston
- Multiple Helicopter Landings – Early Evening of Wednesday, August 20, 2025 Helicopters will be landing in the Boston Common baseball field, and equipment and tents will be positioned at the Boston Common Parade Grounds to prepare for Marine Week activities.
- Workouts with the Marines – Daily, 7:00–8:00 a.m.
Held at the Boston Common Baseball Field. Open to all ages; participants will take part in physical training led by Marines. - Morning & Evening Colors Ceremonies
Conducted each day at Boston City Hall, showcasing Marine Corps precision and tradition. - Wreath Laying Ceremonies
Held at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument on Boston Common to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. - Static Displays on Boston Common – Open Daily
Visitors can meet Marines, explore equipment, try on gear, and watch demonstrations by the Silent Drill Platoon and the Quantico Marine Band. - Special Performances
The Quantico Marine Rock Band will perform live concerts in Marblehead and Boston. - Closing Ceremony – Sunday, August 24, 4:00–5:00 p.m.
Taking place at Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park, featuring performances, traditions, and remarks from senior leaders.
Events will take place across Boston Common, City Hall Plaza, Faneuil Hall, and other local landmarks. A full schedule of times and locations is available to ensure residents and visitors can take part in this week of celebration, remembrance, and community connection.
