At approximately 10:03 AM, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, officers assigned to District E-18 (Hyde Park) responded to a radio call for shots fired on Faraday Street, Hyde Park.
Upon arrival, officers located two adult victims (female and male) suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to local hospitals with life threatening injuries. The female victim has since been pronounced deceased.
An investigation was conducted at the scene and Jonathan Hernandez, 41, Hyde Park, was arrested by first responding officers. Homicide detectives subsequently charged him with Murder, Assault and Battery by means of a Dangerous Weapon, and Assault with Intent to Murder. He will be arraigned in the West Roxbury District Court.
