BPD in the Community: District E-5 Assists at the 18th Annual Shamrock Shootout

Shamrock Shootout scores big in West Roxbury!

Captain Michael Hegarty and officers from the District E-5 (West Roxbury) Community Service Office were on hand to assist in the 18th Annual Shamrock Shootout—a beloved West Roxbury tradition that has grown from just 100 participants to over 650 young athletes!

The day was packed with excitement, featuring street hockey games, special appearances from the Boston Bruins’ mascot Blades, and plenty of pizza to keep everyone fueled up.

Officers were on hand cheering from the sidelines, chatting with families, and celebrating the strong community spirit that makes this event so special.

It was another great example of community and sport coming together!
