At about 8:30 AM, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) arrested Bruna Duarte, 44, Boston, on Destruction of Property and Assault charges.
Officers responded to the area of 444 Harrison Avenue for a report of a female suspect throwing rocks at people outside. Officers were advised that the suspect fled the scene towards Paul Sullivan Way. Officers were then advised that the suspect had been detained by Pine Street Inn Security staff.
Officers were advised that the suspect threw a rock at a random individual and brandished a knife at a victim. Officers also observed that the suspect had vandalized two vehicles in the area. As officers searched the suspect, they recovered a broken glass bottle neck from the suspect’s back left pocket.
Duarte was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court for the following charges:
- Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
- Two Counts Malicious Destruction of Property Over $1,200
