Investigation Update: Suspect Arrested Following a Shots Fired Incident in Roxbury

Investigation Update: At about 11:10AM, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Victor Vega, 33, of Roxbury, in the area of 44 John Elliot Square. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted on a warrant issued out of Roxbury District Court for Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID card, Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Building, and Malicious Destruction of Property over $1,200. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the prior incident are as follows: At about 9:56 AM, on Thursday, April 10, 2025, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to the area of 32 Maple Street for a report of shots fired. Officers did not locate any victims, but located ballistic evidence on Maple Street and Cheney Street. Detectives were able to distribute an image of the suspect’s vehicle fleeing the scene. Officers were able to locate the vehicle unoccupied on Highland Avenue and was towed back to District B-2 for further investigation.
