Investigation Update: At about 10:18 AM, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested Robert Rutledge, 42, of Boston, in the area of 10 Callendar Street. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted on a warrant issued out of Dorchester District Court for Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License, Carrying a Firearm Without a License, Possession of Ammunition Without an FID card, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Discharge of a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Building. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
During a search incident to arrest, officers recovered one plastic bag containing medication pills, and one plastic bag of crack cocaine. The suspect was additionally charged with Possession of Class B, and two counts of Possession of Class E.
Officers also determined that the suspect had an active warrant out of Brockton District Court for Malicious Destruction of Property under $1,200.
The facts and circumstances surrounding the prior incident are as follows: At about 11:16 PM, on Thursday, March 27, 2025, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to the area of 247 Woodrow Avenue for a report of a person shot. Officers were advised by Boston Police Operations that a 911 call was received from a local hospital that a private ambulance dropped off a non-life threatening shooting victim. The incident was determined to have occurred on Woodrow Avenue and officers located ballistic evidence inside an apartment.
