BPD in the Community: Officers Continues to Train Local Youth with H.O.P.E Taekwondo Program

Kicking off a bright future with H.O.P.E Taekwondo!

A great opportunity for kids exercise indoors amidst the cold, is happening at the Dorchester House, where the Boston Police Department’s H.O.P.E. Taekwondo Program continues to inspire and empower Boston’s youth!

With guidance from our officers in the Bureau of Community Engagement, young participants not only learn Taekwondo techniques but also build confidence, discipline, and teamwork. Officers are working side by side with the students, helping them develop self-defense skills, focus, and perseverance—lessons that go beyond the mat and into everyday life.

Programs like these are a perfect example of community policing in action.

We can’t wait to see these young martial artists continue to grow!
