The holiday community work continued at Shirley’s Pantry, under the Boston Public Health Commission’s Healthy Baby Healthy Child Program.
Mayor Wu and Police Commissioner Cox were among the many volunteers from the community – including the City of Boston and the BPD at the Shirley’s Pantry 2024 Annual Turkey Basket Giveaway.
This great annual celebration of giving allows distribution of 400 turkeys and other food items to Boston area residents of Mattapan, Hyde Park, Dorchester, Roslindale, and Roxbury.
Recipients include families, members of our elderly community, and those who require home service who most reliant on this support
The program aims to make sure those experiencing poverty and hardship are able to sustain themselves and celebrate this time of year, and all year round.
The Boston Police Department was grateful to again be a part of these important efforts.
