Our District E-13 Community Service Office recently gathered with the Egleston Square community for a powerful reading of a famous speech from Frederick Douglass.
At the event, our officers joined community members in reading sections of Douglass’s speech aloud, engaging in thoughtful discussions about its relevance and impact. Their participation wasn’t just about reading words—it was about connecting with the community on a deeper level, fostering dialogue, and reflecting on the lessons of the past.
It was an honor to stand side by side with our neighbors, reflecting on our past, and committing to the work still ahead.
