BPD Community Alert: Detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) are seeking the public’s assistance with any information in relation to multiple Gold Chain Armed Robberies that have occurred over the past month.
Since late August 2024, multiple male suspects have forcibly robbed individuals of their gold chains while the victims walked alongside the road. At least two (2) suspects have been described as HMs. In all incidents reported, the suspects fled the scene on a moped. In one incident, a suspect was observed pointing a black firearm at a victim, however, no additional incidents appear to have involved a firearm or other weapon. Most victims have been between the ages of 20-30 YOA, although one individual was in their 60s.
The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding these incidents. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact District B-2 Detectives at (617) 343-4275.
