At about 7:29 PM, on Friday, July 12, 2024, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested a 13-year-old Juvenile male, and a 14-year-old Juvenile male on armed robbery charges.
Officers responded to the area of Allstate Road for a report of a person with a gun. While officers were canvassing the area they observed a male pushing a female against a wall with what appeared to be a plastic gun in his right hand. The male pushed off the female and began to run from the area.
Officers believed that they just witnessed a robbery and were able to stop the suspect and placed him into handcuffs. Officers were advised that the suspect had passed a stolen cell phone to another suspect. Officers were able to locate the second suspect within a nearby group and placed him into custody. After further investigation, officers were able to locate the stolen cell phone in the bushes. The toy gun that was used was seized as evidence.
The 14-year-old juvenile male was charged with Delinquent to wit; Armed Robbery and the 13-year-old juvenile male was charged with Delinquent to wit; Robbery Armed and Masked, and Delinquent to wit; Assault and Battery. Both are expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
