The District A-1 Community Service Office participated in Charlestown Parade Week at this weekend’s Touch a Truck event. We brought a little surprise – that had a big impact!
Participants explored a variety of vehicles, but a main attraction was the newest addition to Boston Police Department’s fleet: a mini cruiser!
The young boys and girls loved this kid sized clone of our cruisers, with lights and siren. Our deputized junior police operators patrolled the beat, captivating attendees.
Despite the rainy weather, the mini cruiser kept the fun rolling! Thank you to our officers and civilians in District A-1, our Fleet Management and Radio Shop teams for coming up with this idea and making it happen!
