At about 10:51 AM, on Thursday, May 23, 2024, members of the Drug Control Units of District A-7 (East Boston), B-2 (Roxbury), and Massachusetts State Police Suffolk County Drug Squad arrested Santiago Alzate, 30, of East Boston, and Martin Alzate, 57, of East Boston, on various drug charges.
Officers were conducting a six-month long drug investigation and execution of search warrants in the area of 77 Brooks Street. As a result of the search warrants, officers recovered 45 grams of Cocaine, multiple plastic bags and approximately $1,751.
Both suspects were placed under arrest and charged with trafficking of class B, possession with intent to distribute class B, and distribution of class B. Both are expected to be arraigned in East Boston District Court.
