The Boston Police Department congratulates Detective John A. Teixeira, currently serving in the Bureau of Intelligence and Analysis, Field Operations Group. As Detective Teixeira continues his exceptional 37-year career with the Boston Police Department, he has been awarded Detective Badge #1 recognizing him as having the most years in the Detective rank serving our City. Beginning as a police officer in Area E, Detective Teixeira’s journey has been marked by exemplary service in various capacities, including B-2 Detectives, D-4 Detectives, the Drug Control Unit in Area D, and the Recruit Investigations Unit. He is well knows in the Community and his leadership and dedication serve as an inspiration within the Department.
