In Memoriam: The Department mourns the recent passing of active duty Boston Police Officer Andrew O’Connor, on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Officer O’Connor joined the Boston Police Department on June 28, 2021, and successfully completed his training at the Boston Police Academy on January 7, 2022. Serving the people of East Boston, Officer O’Connor was assigned to District A-7 at the time of his passing.
