Investigation Update: Detectives from District E-18 (Hyde Park), while investigating a robbery of a pizza delivery man that occurred on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in the vicinity of 21 Woodglen Rd., responded to the area of the Fairmount Housing Development in Hyde Park. While conducting their investigation at that location, an individual matching the description of one of the suspects walked in front of an unmarked police car. Detectives attempted to stop the individual who then fled on foot away from the police. About 15-20 minutes later, a 15-year-old male was placed under arrest and charged with Delinquency to wit: Armed Robbery. Detectives applied for, and obtained, a search warrant for the residence of the 15-year-old where they recovered evidence of the crime.
The 15-year-old male from Hyde Park will be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
The second suspect remains at large and the Boston Police Department continues to review the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.
