At about 11:08 AM, on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, a Probationary Police Officer and his Field Training Officer assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested Raquan Baker-Parham, 28, of Brockton on firearm related charges.
Officers were on patrol in the area of 1631 Blue Hill Avenue when they observed an individual, they knew had an active arrest warrant. Officers approached the suspect, and advised him that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Officers attempted to stop the suspect, and a struggle ensued.
Officers were able to safely place the suspect into handcuffs, and recovered a loaded extended magazine with 28 rounds from the suspect’s waistband. Officers continued their search of the suspect and recovered a Glock 43X. The firearm was also later determined to be stolen.
Barker-Parham was placed under arrest and charged with: Unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, receiving stolen property and resisting arrest. The suspect was also booked on a warrant out of Plymouth Superior Court for Assault, and Robbery. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
