At about 6:25 PM, on Monday, August 28, 2023, officers assigned to the Drug Control Unit of District C-11 (Dorchester) arrested a 15-year-old juvenile male and a 17-year-old juvenile male on firearm charges.
Officers were in the area of Topliff Street conducting an ongoing drug investigation. Independent to their investigation, officers observed two juvenile males walking and one juvenile with his left arm pinned to his body.
Officers stopped the suspects to conduct a threshold inquiry. Officers recovered a firearm from the waistbands of both suspects. One firearm was later determined to be Black Taurus 9mm with one round in the chamber and six rounds in the magazine. The other firearm recovered was later determined to be a Black Taurus 9mm with one round in the chamber and nine rounds in the magazine.
The 15-year-old juvenile male was placed under arrest and charged with; Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
The 17-year-old juvenile male was placed under arrest and charged with; Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
