Four Suspects Arrested for Graffiti in Downtown Boston

At about 2:03 AM, on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, officers assigned to the Anti-Crime Unit of District A-1 (Downtown) made an on-site graffiti arrest of Jared Moe, 18, of Winchester, and three juvenile males from Winchester.

Officers were on patrol in the area of 1 Harrison Avenue, when they observed a group standing in a parking lot. As officers drove by the group, one of the males attempted to hide from officers. Officers reversed their cruiser and saw the group running towards Boylston Street.

Officers were able to stop the group in the area of 15 Essex Street, where they immediately observed one of the suspects drop a can of spray paint. After further investigation, officers recovered three more cans of spray paint. Officers returned to the original area where they first saw the group and could observe wet-spray paint.

Moe was placed under arrest and charged with; Damage to Property by Graffiti/Tagging. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.

The three juvenile males (Two 16-year-olds, and a 17-year-old) were placed under arrest and charged with; Delinquent to wit; Damage to Property by Graffiti/Tagging. They are expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
