At about 10:08 AM, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, officers assigned to the Drug Control Units of District C-11 (Dorchester) and B-2 (Roxbury) arrested John Eason, 61, of Boston, on firearm and drug charges.
Officers were conducting an ongoing drug investigation and execution of search warrants in the area of 30 Lyndhurst Street. As a result of the search warrants, officers recovered a JC Higgins Long Rifle, and multiple loose rounds of ammunition. Officers also recovered what they believed to be Crack Cocaine and Heroin.
Eason was placed under arrest and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Class A, and Possession of Class B. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
