At about 12:29 AM, on Thursday, August 24, 2023, officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) arrested James Schaff, 55, Boston, on Breaking and Entering Charges.
Officers responded to the area of 60 Charles Street for a report of a Breaking and Entering in progress. Officers were provided a description of a suspect who had broken into a business, and was fleeing the area.
Officers observed a suspect matching the description walking on Charles Street. As officers approached the suspect, he attempted to walk away from the area. Officers were able to speak with the suspect, and immediately handcuffed him.
Schaff was placed under arrest and charged with; Breaking and Entering a Building at Nighttime. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
