Officers Recovered a Loaded Firearm in Dorchester

At about 6:50 PM, on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, officers assigned to the Anti-Crime Unit from District B-3 (Mattapan) made an on-site firearm arrest of Antonio Kincade, 25, of Winthrop.

Officers were on patrol in the area of Washington Street and Morse Street when they observed a large group congregating in the area. As officers approached the group, an individual immediately walked away from the area to avoid officers.

Officers were able to speak with the male who was blading his body away from them. As officers attempted to pat frisk the suspect, the male tried to block officers’ hands from his waistband area. Officers immediately felt the presence of a firearm, and the suspect was placed into handcuffs. The firearm was later determined to be a Smith and Wesson M&P Plus with one round in the chamber and twelve rounds in the magazine.

Kincade was placed under arrest and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
