At about 1:40 PM, on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, officers assigned to the District B-2 Drug Control Unit (Roxbury), arrested Israel Alicea, 47, of Boston on firearm and drug related charges.
Officers were on patrol in the area of Eustis Street and Dearborn Street when they observed the suspect operating a motorcycle erratically. Israel Alicea was observed making a U-turn while weaving in and out of traffic and travelling on the wrong side of the road.
Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens to initiated a traffic stop. As a result of the stop, officers recovered a loaded Firearm, Crack Cocaine, Crystal Methamphetamine and Fentanyl. The firearm was determined to be a Smith & Wesson 9mm, loaded with fourteen rounds of ammunition.
Israel Alicea was arrested and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Trafficking; Class B, Drugs and Trafficking; Class A, Drugs. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
