At about 7:44 PM, on Sunday, July 16, 2023, officers assigned to the Anti-Crime Unit of District B-3 (Mattapan) made an on-site firearm arrest of a 15-year-old male.
Officers were on patrol in the area of Johnston Road and Blue Hill Avenue when they attempted to speak with a group, and one male attempted to flee. Officers stopped the suspect, conducted a pat frisk and recovered a firearm from him, which was later determined to be a Taurus Spectrum 380 with six rounds in the magazine.
The 15-year-old male was placed under arrest and charged with; Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Delinquent to with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester Court.
