BPD in the Community: Today marked the first of a series of five field days, with this week’s field day taking place at Garvey Park. The field days will be happening all across the city to help build relationships with youth.
Officers assigned to the Bureau of Community Engagement, District C-11 (Dorchester), members of the Youth Violence Strike Force, and BPD Cadets were all on hand for the fun filled day. The youth played some dodgeball, basketball, and finished it all off with a water balloon fight. The BPD ice cream truck was handing out tasty treats to help cap off a great day.
