At about 3:15 PM, on Friday, July 7, 2023, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) made an on-site robbery arrest of Paul Devenezia, 37, of Dorchester.
An officer was standing outside of 7 Allstate Road when she heard a commotion, and observed the suspect forcefully pulling at a victim’s purse. The officer observed the suspect pull with enough force to tear the strap, and attempt to flee the area. The officer quickly placed the suspect into custody and was able to return the purse to the victim.
Devenezia was placed under arrest and charged with; Unarmed Robbery. Further information revealed that the suspect, had two active warrants as well. He is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
