
At about 11:00 PM, on Saturday, July 8, 2023, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan), conducted a traffic stop in the area of Harvard Street and Wales Street.
Officers were conducting an ongoing investigation regarding an incident that took place on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, in the area of Edgewater Drive and Rivers Street, where five people were shot and several firearms were recovered.
Officers observed a motor vehicle with excessively dark tinted windows, traveling on Westview Street without its headlight illuminated. Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens to safely stop the vehicle. Officers approached the vehicle and located Traequon Duncan, 26, of Boston, who was a passenger in the vehicle. Duncan had active arrest warrants issued out of Suffolk Superior Court and Dorchester District Court.
He was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrants; Assault to Murder, Firearm and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Suffolk Superior Court), Assault to Murder, Firearm and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Dorchester District Court). He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
During the arrest, officers recovered a loaded firearm from another passenger, later identified as Damarius Bultmer, 23, of Boston. He was arrested and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court. The firearm was determined to be a loaded Ruger Mayodan .380 with six rounds in the magazine.
Circumstances surrounding the arrest are as follows: About 2:01 AM, on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan), responded to a radio call for multiple people shot in the area of Edgewater Drive and River Street in Mattapan. Multiple victims were located, all suffering non-life-threatening injuries. Officers recovered several firearms and three suspects from Boston were arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
