At about 1:42am, on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, officers from Area C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for shots fired in the area of 45 Olney Street. On arrival, officers located a black male in his late thirties suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim has since been identified as Nicholas Trotman, 38, of Dorchester.
