At about 6:21pm, on Friday, June 3, 2011, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) received information relative to an individual in possession of a firearm. The information provided was both reliable and supported by a substantial basis of knowledge. Officers were able to locate the individual believed to be in possession of the firearm. For officer safety, a pat frisk was conducted to determine the presence of a weapon. Officers were unable to locate a firearm on the suspect. However, a search of the suspect’s residence enabled officers to locate and take possession of a loaded firearm. The firearm recovered was consistent with the description of the firearm as described by the confidential informant. 
Officers arrested Christopher Ajene, 20, of Boston and charged him with the Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition.
