At about 10:15pm, on Sunday, May 29, 2011, officers from Area B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for a person shot in the area of Itasca & Messinger Streets. On arrival, officers located a 22 year-old male outside the above-mentioned location suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the Boston Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
